Control4 OS 2.10 with 4Sight led the night with a win for Home Automation Product of the Year.

With the latest software update, OS 2.10, Control4 connected homes now support more of homeowner’s favorite native streaming services, and with the 4Sight subscription, provide new flexibility for homeowner personalization without dealer intervention for an already installed system using When >>Then Automation.

CE Pro’s Julie Jacobson called When >> Then a “showstopper,” and “a 'transformational' paradigm for pro-installed smart-home systems.”

When >> Then allows homeowners to tweak the scenes in their home and personalize their system to change temperature, music, and lighting preferences. It’s simple: homeowners can select a “When” (on a schedule, with a touch of a button, or after an event occurs), and a “Then” (an action to take place, such as turn on a light, start a playlist, or send a push notification).

When >> Then lets homeowners make the small changes that personalize their smart home as their lifestyle changes, without bogging down dealers with many requests to update playlists, lighting times, and more.

OS 2.10 also provides additional music flexibility with native streaming services Pandora, Spotify, SiriuxSM, iHeartRadio, and more, which can also be set as Whens in smart home scenes.

The software also brought a host of new tools for dealers, and continues to lead the category for home automation innovation.

The Audio Product of the Year Award was given to the Control4 Triad One Streaming Amplifier, a single-zone, high-resolution, wired and wireless streaming amplifier which distributes and synchronizes local audio sources, such as television audio, turntable or media players, over the IP network in a Control4 system.

The Triad One functions as an amplifier, streaming sound system, and a music controller within a Control4 smart home, and was designed with flexibility in mind to deliver high-quality audio to a variety of installation scenarios without requiring wiring.

The Control4 Pakedge Certified Network Administrator Program (PCNA) won the coveted Best New Education Program.

PCNA is a brand-new training experience launched in the fall of 2017 and currently boasting its first 100 graduates as of December.

PCNA employs a unique blend of comprehensive online coursework with hands-on practical learning using Pakedge networking gear to provide dealers and technicians the networking knowledge they need to design, install, and manage wired and wireless IP networks.

The PCNA course curriculum combines six interactive courses, online instructional office hours, and an online third-party proctored certification exam to ensure networking competency for industry dealers.
