ESA: New satellite launch extends Galileo's global reach
Kourou, French Guiana - July 25, 2018 - Four more Galileo satellites were launched today by an Ariane 5. Their arrival in orbit brings the Galileo constellation to 26 satellites, extending the global coverage of the constellation. Ariane 5 flight VA244, operated by Arianespace under contract to ESA, lifted off from Europe's Spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, at 11:25 GMT (13:25 CEST, 08:25 local time), carrying Galileo satellites 23-26. The first pair of 715 kg satellites was released almost 3 hours 36 minutes after liftoff, while the second pair separated 20 minutes later.

Atos to acquire American company Syntel to create global digital transformation leader for USD3.4 billion
Bezons, France - July 22, 2018 - A powerful combination for Atos by acquiring a highly complementary portfolio, customer base and geographic footprint with 23,000 new joiners highly skilled in digital services. Atos and Syntel have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which Atos will acquire Syntel for cash consideration of c. USD3.4 billion i.e. USD41.0 per share, representing c. 14% premium over the last 30 trading days volume weighted average share price of Syntel. The transaction is expected to be double digit accretive to Group EPS as early as 2019.

Airbus: First BelugaXL successfully completes maiden flight
Toulouse, France - July 19, 2018 - The first of five BelugaXL aircraft to fly has landed at Toulouse-Blagnac, France at 14:41 hrs local time after successfully completing its first flight lasting four hours and 11 minutes. Following the first flight, the BelugaXL will undergo some 600 hours of flight test over 10 months to achieve Type Certification and entry into service later in 2019.

Japońskie turbiny TRT wytworzą czystą energię w elektrociepłowni TAMEH Polska w Dąbrowie Górniczej dla huty ArcelorMittal
Dąbrowa Górnicza - 18 lipca 2018 - W elektrociepłowni TAMEH Polska w Dąbrowie Górniczej zostanie uruchomiona pierwsza w Polsce instalacja turbin wytwarzających energię elektryczną w procesie rozprężania gazu wielkopiecowego TRT (ang. Top-Pressure Recovery Turbine). Turbiny będą produkować energię elektryczną w sposób całkowicie ekologiczny, nie emitując do atmosfery żadnych gazów i pyłów. Dwie turbiny (każda o masie 81 ton), zostaną połączone ze zmodernizowaną instalacją gazu wielkopiecowego. Do każdego z dwóch wielkich pieców pracujących w dąbrowskiej hucie będzie przeznaczona jedna turbina z generatorem. Obie zostały już zamontowane.

Beijing, China - July 09, 2018 - The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank's (AIIB) Board of Directors has approved a new governance model that will strengthen its role in establishing the policies and strategies of the bank and its ability to hold the President accountable for the management of AIIB. It will also delegate authority to the President to approve a select group of projects based on predetermined criteria. This new model is expected to enhance efficiency and make the President more responsible and accountable to the shareholders for AIIB's operations.

Hong Kong Trade Development Council - July 04, 2018 - The third Belt and Road Summit, jointly organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), attracted some 5,000 participants from 55 countries and regions on 28 June at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. More than 80 government and business leaders from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and countries around the world shared their insights on the development of the Belt and Road Initiative and the new opportunities presented to different industries.
