ABB to strengthen Indonesia's power grid and support economic growth
Zurich, Switzerland - May 08, 2018 - ABB has won an order to supply gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) to PLN, Indonesia's state-owned power utility. The GIS will facilitate reliable supply of electricity and can be safely operated in confined spaces and harsh environments, controlling the network and protecting it from power outages. As the largest economy in Southeast Asia, demand for electricity in Indonesia continues to grow. Na Marsa wystartowała misja NASA InSight z polskim penetratorem Kret firmy Astronika na pokładzie
NASA / Astronika / PAP - 05 maja 2018 - Około godziny 13:00 czasu polskiego 5 maja 2018 roku wystartowała misja NASA InSight, czyli pierwsza w historii misja poświęcona badaniom głębokiego wnętrza Marsa. Zbadanie wnętrza czerwonej planety umożliwiła polska firma Astronika Sp. z o.o. z Warszawy, która zaprojektowała i wykonała mechanizm, który wbije się na 5 metrów w marsjański grunt. Misja ma trwać dwa lata ziemskie. Lądowanie InSight na Marsie zaplanowane jest na 26 listopada 2018 roku.

Chicago, USA - May 01, 2018 - Boeing (NYSE: BA) announced today it has entered a definitive agreement to acquire KLX Inc. (NASDAQ: KLXI) to enhance its growing services business. The agreement comprises an all-cash transaction for USD63 per share and the assumption of approximately USD1.0 billion of net debt, totaling USD4.25 billion. Boeing's acquisition of KLX Inc. will include KLX Inc.'s Aerospace Solutions Group, and is conditional upon the successful divestment and separation of KLX Inc.'s Energy Services Group.

NASA Sets Sights on May 5 Launch of InSight Mars Mission
NASA, USA - April 27, 2018 - NASA's next mission to Mars, Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport (InSight), is scheduled to launch Saturday, May 5, on a first-ever mission to study the heart of Mars. InSight, the first planetary mission to take off from the West Coast, is targeted to launch at 7:05 a.m. EDT (4:05 a.m. PDT) from Space Launch Complex-3 at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California aboard a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket.

T-Mobile and Sprint to combine, accelerating 5G innovation & increasing competition for USD146 billion
Bellevue, Washington and Overland Park, Kansas, USA - April 29, 2018 - T-Mobile US (NASDAQ: TMUS) and Sprint Corporation (NYSE: S) today announced they have entered into a definitive agreement to merge in an all-stock transaction at a fixed exchange ratio of 0.10256 T-Mobile shares for each Sprint share or the equivalent of 9.75 Sprint shares for each T-Mobile US share. Based on closing share prices on April 27, this represents a total implied enterprise value of approximately USD59 billion for Sprint and approximately USD146 billion for the combined company. The new company will have a strong closing balance sheet and a fully funded business plan with a strong foundation of secured investment grade debt at close.

Intel's Drone and Artificial Intelligence Technology to Help Restore China's Great Wall
Santa Clara, CA, USA - April 27, 2018 - Intel and the China Foundation for Cultural Heritage Conservation have created a partnership to protect and restore the Great Wall of China. The Great Wall's Jiankou section is among its most famous stretches, as well as its steepest. Located in thick vegetation, the section of the wall, which dates to the third century B.C., has naturally weathered and requires repair. Intel's AI and Falcon 8+ drone technologies will be used to remotely inspect and map the Jiankou section, which has been difficult for repair teams to reach.
