IBM Acquires Vivant Digital Business in Australia
Sydney, Australia - October 04, 2017 - IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced its intention to acquire Vivant Digital business (Vivant), a boutique digital and innovation agency based here. This acquisition extends the strategy and design expertise of IBM iX, one of the world's largest digital agencies and global business design partners, with Vivant talent and expertise to accelerate clients' digital transformations. The CEO and founder of Vivant, Anthony Farah, will also take the role of Digital Strategy & iX Leader for IBM Australia and New Zealand.

Lockheed Martin Completes First Flexible Solar Array for LM 2100 Satellite
Sunnyvale, Calif., USA - October 03, 2017 - After years of development, Lockheed Martin completed the first flight build of its new Multi-mission Modular (MM) Solar Array. This new flexible array advances Lockheed Martin's significant heritage flying flexible arrays on such programs as the International Space Station and a constellation for the U.S. Air Force. The new design is a major component of Lockheed Martin's multi-year modernization of its LM 2100 satellite bus, which is part of its newly-enhanced family of buses.

I am not saying great leaders don't work hard, raise the level of performance of their people, have high standards, constantly strive for greatness. Quite the opposite is true. They do all these things, but they know at some point it will come to an end. If their entire identity is wrapped up in their work what will they have when it's over?

ABB and Northvolt partner for Europe's largest battery factory
Zurich, Switzerland - September 26, 2017 - ABB and Northvolt have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a wide-ranging supply and technology partnership, including products and services for Northvolt's state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery factory and close collaboration on development of battery solutions and R&D activities. Northvolt is going to build Europe's largest and most advanced lithium-ion battery factory in Sweden. The factory is expected to start production in 2020.
